THE MESSIAH
Salvation is of the Jews!
If you are a Jew, reading this article, it is my desire for you to know, that those of us who are called "Christians", love you, and are grateful to you, and your fathers, for bringing Salvation to the whole earth. It is through your great nation, that we Gentiles have received the very oracles of God, and it was through your nation, in whom the Messiah has come!
Jesus told the Samaritan woman "Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews". John 4:22
Romans 2:28-3:2
Paul, the Jewish Pharisee writes: For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.
Truly, Abraham HAS become a blessing to every nation on earth, and the Father of many nations!
Genesis 12:2-3
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: [3] And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Genesis 17:4-5
As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. [5] Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
A NEW COVENANT
Jeremiah 31:31-33 "Behold, the days are comming. says the LORD, when I will make a NEW COVENANT with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, NOT according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they BROKE, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. BUT THIS IS THE COVENANT that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put my law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”
Hebrews 8:13 "In that He says, A new covenant, He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
Have YOU entered into covenant with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? The First covenant was “BROKEN", so where do you stand now? When a Covenant is broken, it is no longer valid and no longer binding to the offended party. But God promised that He would make a NEW Covenant with the house of Israel. Since a blood sacrifice was necessary for a contract (covenant) to become valid, when God made the NEW Covenant, it was necessary for a blood sacrifice to be made, one that atoned for our sins, one that put us in "right" relationship with the Covenant maker.
Hebrews 13:20
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
The Torah (Lev. 17:11) requires a blood sacrifice to atone for your sins: "For the life of the flesh is in the BLOOD, and I have given it to you upon the alter to make ATONEMENT for your souls; for it is THE BLOOD that make atonement for the soul.”
If you are a Jew, when was the last time you offered up your BLOOD sacrifice of atonement required by the Law of Moses? The LAST time in history, that the Jewish nation has ever been able to offer up the blood sacrifice of sheep in Jerusalem, was the very day that Jesus died upon the cross. At the very moment when Jesus died upon the cross, the veil in the Temple was torn in two (Matt. 27:51, Mark 15:38, Luke 23:45) and the Temple service of the Jewish priests ended. Unwillingly, the Jewish sacrificial ritual, commanded by God, ceased until this very day! WHY? Because GOD had replaced it with the sacrificial blood of the most perfect sacrificial LAMB, the very blood of His sinless SON, Yeshua (Jesus)!
At the Passover meal the night before Jesus died, Yeshua (Jesus) lifted the cup and said “This cup is the NEW COVENANT in My BLOOD. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me." I Corinthians 11:25
To those who would place their sins upon the sacrificial lamb, Jesus Christ, the blood of His sacrifice makes atonement for the sin the repentant person and cleanses him, restoring a right relationship with God. God Himself, has removed your access to the Temple mount for 2,000 years, fulfilling the prophecy of Jesus when He said:
Luke 21:24
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
The Jewish nation, shortly after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, was raided by the Roman empire and scattered over the face of the earth. The Gentiles profaned the Temple, destroyed it, and placed an abominable temple to the demon god "allah" upon it. But Jesus foretold that this will one day end, when the days of the Gentiles were fulfilled. Even now, the Jewish nation, which was scattered into all nations, are being restored to their own nation again. Christians honor the Jewish people as we are only adopted into the family of Abraham and rejoice that the Jewish nation is being restored to God's people. The Temple will one day be rebuilt and the sacrifice will begin again. Although this is hopeful, Jesus foretells that this will only usher in the rise of the Anti-Christ, who will again persecute the Jews, and the Christians, and declare himself to be god (2 Thess. chapter 2, Revelation chapter 12)
I ask you this question. Is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob also the God of the Gentiles too? Can the Gentiles, also, worship the God of Israel? The New Covenant, through Jesus Christ, is for BOTH Jew and Gentile alike, those who will worship the God of Abraham!
Romans 1:16-17
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. [17] For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
The prophecies of scripture, foretold that the NEW Covenant will include the Gentile nations, and that the Jewish nation would "abhor" Him and reject Him! The NEW Covenant does NOT exclude the Jews, but rather it is a Covenant to ALL, Jew and Gentile alike, to all who will trust in HIM! I might include that the early Christian church, in its origin, were Jews! In one day, over 3,000 Jews believed in Christ after hearing the preaching of Peter, the Jew! (Acts chapter 2)
The Old Testament prophetically foretold about the New Covenant and the inclusion of the Gentiles to this New Covenant:
Isaiah 49:6-8 Speaking of the "Servant" (in Isaiah 53 you will find that it is "the suffering Servant” ) “I will give you as a light to the GENTILES, that you should be My SALVATION (Heb. Yeshuwah - Gr. Jesus) to the ends of the earth. Thus says the LORD, The Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One, To HIM whom man dispises, to HIM whom THE NATION (Israel) ABHORS, To the SERVANT of rulers I will perserve You and GIVE YOU AS A COVENANT to the people, to restore the Earth.
(If you will read all of Isaiah Chapter 49, it is a conversation between the Son of God and the Father.)
Who was this ruler and where was this ruler to be born?
Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Micah 5:2 "But you, BETHLEHAM Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be RULER in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from EVERLASTING.
The word "EVERLASTING" in Hebrew is 'Owlim, meaning "No beginning and no end" and is used in Gen. 21:33 "Then Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there called on the name of the LORD, the EVERLASTING GOD." ('Owlam)
Jesus, born in Bethlehem, is the ruler of Israel, the Everlasting God, and the Mighty God!
Jesus said in John 8:56 "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day, and he saw it and was glad."
When the Pharisees questioned how Jesus could have known Abraham, Jesus said "Before Abraham was I AM." (v. 58)
At this, they took up stones to stone him as the name "I AM" Is God's name in Gen. 3:13-14. Was Jesus the Messiah? He claimed to be the Messiah and GOD. You must choose!
TO PROVOKE YOU TO JEALOUSY!
Deuteronomy 32:21 “I will provoke you to JEALOUSY by those who are not a nation, I will move you to ANGER by a foolish nation."
Isaiah 65:1 "I was found by those who did not seek Me; I was made manifest to those who did not ask for Me." and again he says to Israel in verse 2 "All day long I have stretched out My hands to a disobedient and contrary people."
Paul, a Pharisee of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin writes "I say then, have they (the Jews) stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles." (Romans 11:11)
God LOVES Israel! He Loves the Jewish nation! But when their hearts grew hard, and they turned to other gods, and went the sinful ways of the Gentile nations, He brought salvation to the Gentile nations that WOULD turn to the God of the Jews, repent of their sins, and worship Him in Spirit and in truth. The reason? To provoke the Jews to Jealousy. That the God of the Jews, would be a husband to the Gentile nations, those who would seek after Him and love Him and worship Him the way that God has desired the Jews would love Him, seek Him and worship Him!
Paul also writes "What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have attained righteousness, even the righteousness of faith; but Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness. Why? because they did not seek it by FAITH, but as it were, by the works of the law. For they stumbled at the stumbling stone. As it is written:
Isaiah 8:14; 28:16 "Behold I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense. And whoever believes on HIM will not be put to shame.
"For they (Jews) being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. For Christ (the Messiah) is the END of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes." (Romans 9:30-10:4)
What does all this mean? Trying to establish their righteousness through the law, their hearts were far away from God. Their obedience was not an answer to love and devotion to the living God, and love for their neighbor. A child that loves his father, obeys the father out of the pure love that is in his heart. He goes the extra mile to please his father. Those who put their trust in God, and lovingly surrender to the Messiah, have turned to God with a pure heart of love and commitment, and through this purity of heart, have attained righteousness.
The one who robes a bank, and then turns around and helps the elderly woman cross the road, think that they will find favor in the eyes of God because of the good deed done, but with a heart of deceit. The heart is hard, and God sees the heart. God is not weighing the good deeds verses the bad. Since every man has sinned, and fallen short of the Glory of God, don't think that your good deeds are going to make God indebted to you.
Jesus, when the Pharisees brought out the adulterous woman to be stoned according to their law, said to the men:
John 8:7
He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
One by one, they dropped their stones and walked away! In their "self-righteousness", and commitment to fulfill the law by stoning her, they found that they too are sinners, and need the mercy and forgiveness of God. They too, needed the blood sacrifice of a perfect lamb to wash away their sinful conscience and restore a right relationship with God. The Messiah, Jesus Christ, the blood of His perfect sacrifice, is the end of the law for all who trust in Him, and surrender to His love with a pure heart. The restored condition of the fallen son who thought he could earn the Fathers love by keeping the law, now restored to the Father in humility, begins to serve the Living God with sincerity. To the Jew, who watches a true Christian serving the God of Abraham with a sincere and pure heart, reaching out to the hurting, loving the sinner and those who persecute him, there should be a jealousy and desire to turn to the God of Abraham and to serve Him in like manor!
God has been sending the Jewish people prophets throughout history! The message? REPENT! Turn from your sinful ways and turn your hearts to God. God has demanded fruit from the people of Israel! What did they do? They killed these prophets, rejected them, and beat them. So God sent his own son! Look at these words that Jesus spoke to the men of Israel:
Matthew 21:33-43
Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: [34] And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. [35] And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. [36] Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. [37] But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. [38] But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. [39] And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. [40] When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? [41] They (the Pharisees) say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. [42] Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? (Ps. 118:22) [43] Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
So the end result is this: God has given the vinyard over to the Gentiles who WILL bring forth the fruits which God demands! So that the Jew that has a righteous heart, who sees the righteous actions of the Gentile Christian, and knows that this is what God requires, would become jealous and desire to turn back to the God of Abraham.
(footnote: Not everyone who claims to be a Christian, IS a Christain - He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:4)
GOD has revealed His HOLY ARM
Isaiah 52:10 "The LORD has made bare HIS HOLY ARM in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall SEE THE SALVATION (Yeshewah) of our God."
Isaiah 12:2 "Behold, God is my salvation (Yeshua), I will trust and not be afraid; For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song: HE HAS BECOME MY SALVATION (Yeshua).
Yes, the Holy Arm of the LORD has been revealed, and all have seen it. His name is Jesus, the God of Israel.
Matthew 23:37 Jesus said "0 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall not see Me no more till you say. "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD.”
In the scripture above, you could say that Jesus had either committed blasphemy, or He was declaring that it was He, Himself that was being spoken of in Psalm 91:4 "He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall find refuge..”
But I contend, that Jesus was not only telling us that He is the God of Israel, but that His life and death has fulfilled the prophecies of the coming Messiah: Psalm 22:14-18 "I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It has melted within Me. My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and My tongue clings to My jaws; you have brought me to the dust of the death. For dogs have surrounded Me; the congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me they pierced My hands and My feet; I can count all My bones. They look at Me and stare. They divide My garments among them and for My clothing they cast lots." (Zech. 12:10)
These prophecies, all being fulfilled in the life and death of Jesus Christ, are something that every Jew must question.
MESSIANIC SCRIPTURES
Psalms 22:7-8 Isaiah 7:14 9:2,6-7 Isaiah 50:6 Isaiah 52:10 - 53:12 Daniel 7:9-13, 9:24-26 (Verse 26 tells about the destruction of the temple which happened in 70 AD, but the Messiah was to come FIRST) Zech. 9:9 11:13 12:10
Romans 10:8-13 "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. ..that if you confess with your mouth the LORD Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, (Isa. 28:16) Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." For there is NO distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same LORD over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For (Joel 2:32) Whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."
If you are Jewish and seeking to know more about the Jewish faith, the NEW Covenant which God had promised, I encourage you to read the book of Romans, the book of Hebrews, and Galatians Chapt. 3 and 4.
A Jew is a descendant of the tribe of Judah! To believe in Jesus Christ, who also is a Jew from the tribe of Judah, as the Messiah, will never make you any less of a Jew than you are today. It makes you even more Jewish, a "completed" Jew that has found the long awaited Messiah! Myself, as a Gentile Christian who believes in your Messiah, the God of the Jews, want to thank you and your fathers, for bringing the knowledge of the living God to myself and the world. Truly, Abraham has become a blessing to the whole world, even the Gentile Christians, who rejoice to be adopted into his family with you by believing in, and bowing our knees to the God of Abraham! Even as the Gentile, Nebuchadnezzar, who finally surrendered his heart as a believer to the God of the Jews, wrote in Daniel 4:2-3, 37
"I thought it good to declare the signs and wonders that the MOST HIGH GOD has worked for me. How great are His signs, and how mighty His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His dominion is from generation to generation. ..Now I praise and extol and honor the KING of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways just.."
Nebuchadnezzar saw “the Son of God” in the fire with the 3 Hebrew boys (Daniel 3:25), and confessed that HE TOO, now bows his knee to the God of Israel!
I hope and pray that this tract has helped you. I love the God of the Jews, and found Him through His Son Jesus Christ. Psalms 2:6-12 Proverbs 30:4
I believe that in these last days that the LORD is returning to His chosen people, the Jews, and pouring out His love on this people. I love the Jews and pray that every Jew reading this tract would fall in love with the God of Israel, whom I love.
Shalom
Movie - The Messiah, Prophecy fulfilled! Through the Feast of Passover, spoken of in "Torah" by Moses Rabbi Yehudah powerfully presents it's prophetic nature and fulfillment in Yeshua of Nazareth.
