Sabbath "Forever"
Is the Sabbath a commandment of God which is to be kept “for ever”? I will answer this question at the end of this page.
(Mat 5:18 KJV) For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
The Sabbath
(Exo 31:17 KJV) It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
Did God command any other observances to be kept "for ever" ? Please take special notice to the words "for ever"!
The Passover (1st day & 7th day)
Note that this festival was given to Israel BEFORE they left Egypt. It was NOT the LAW of Moses and was Not given at Mt. Sinai. It was a holy day on both the 1st and 7th day which is Saturday and Sunday.
(Exo 12:14 KJV) And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
(Exo 12:15 KJV) Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
(Exo 12:16 KJV) And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.
(Exo 12:17 KJV) And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.

(Exo 29:28 KJV) And it shall be Aaron's and his sons' by a statute for ever from the children of Israel: for it is an heave offering: and it shall be an heave offering from the children of Israel of the sacrifice of their peace offerings, even their heave offering unto the LORD.

The answer to the question “Is the Sabbath a commandment of God which is to be kept “for ever”?
YES!
Every true Born Again believer that is "resting" in Jesus has kept the true Sabbath from the day of their salvation. It is NOT a day of the week, it's Jesus, who is the fulfillment of the eternal Sabbath (rest)!
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
As we see in the scriptures noted in this study, JESUS is the "Fulfillment" of ALL the "For Ever's" in scripture! Jesus IS our Sabbath, our "eternal rest"! He is the Passover of unleavened (sinless) bread! He is the Light of the world, the High Priest, the perfect Sacrifice, the Laver of Washing and the Feast of Tabernacles, dwelling in us!
(Mat 5:18 KJV) For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
(Luke 24:44-45) And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. [45] Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
I pray that YOUR mind would be opened, that you may see JESUS, the fulfillment of ALL those things that were written, and that YOU may "ENTER the REST", by resting in Jesus!
